Wait, Endangered?

The Giant Panda was put on the endangered list in the 1990s. Poaching and deforestation in the 80s affected them deeply. Bamboo was cut down with the forest, depleting the panda's main food source.

Safe at Last!

In 2014, thanks to the efforts of panda lovers everywhere, the Giant Panda was taken off the endangered species list. Pan Pan the panda was one of the most helpful pandas in this cause. He passed away at the age of 31, but not before fathering over 130 pandas.

But Not Safe Enough...

Pandas have been moved off the endangered species list. But that was a small victory. Pandas were only moved up to the "threatened" list. The threatened list is for species who are very close to being endangered. Still help save the pandas. This war is not over yet!
